SLEIP is a powerful AI tool now used by vets around the world to assess, compare and rehabilitate horses throughout their competitive careers. It provides an objective measurement of the asymmetries detected during straight line trot ups, lunging and even when riding. These analyses help to guide a veterinary lameness investigation to show objectively how much improvement can be seen after each diagnostic local anaesthetic nerve or joint block. Then SLEIP comes into its own when we regularly use it to follow up with how our patients are doing after treatment/surgery and during rehabilitation plans so that we can detect improvements and also any worsening of the condition so that we can tailor the treatment as best as possible to our individual patients over time.
